本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Uwaterloo by far is the best accounting program in Canada, it has a monopoly where you can avoid the CKE
let me backtrack a bit, the so called "accounting professionals" on Rolia are mostly CGAs or cga wonnabes, the reality is, Chartered Accountants in public accounting are the most widely recognized and most difficult designation, it takes average 8 years to become one, few immigrants will even attempt it, so it doesn't have a good rep amongst us chinamen.
On the other hand, CGAs doesn't need a university degree and it has a well-developed campagin in mainland thus it has more exposure and some of us think that it's the thing to be.
The truth is, most corporate accountants in canada are CAs, to verify that, pick up any annual reports of publicly traded company and look in there, you will see what I mean
if you still wonna argue, then here's more, CFO of BELL CA Ent, is a Waterloo grad and a CA, CFO of IBM canada is a waterloo grad and a CA.
Okay, now let me move forward, the UW accounting program entrance cutoff is around 90% average, we have already discussed that to death in prior postings.
even in this dim economy, last year the starting salary for waterloo acct people is about 76K.
There is a downside that you have to graduate with a MAcc, so it's like a all or nothing deal
Brock, is at st.catharine's, home town of Paul Bernado, their CA program is a joke, the quality of Brock education is not attracting the attention of any recuriters. I have personally worked with Brock people, and it's a miracle to me that they still call it a university.
there, I said it, if you don't like it, don't believe it
some body count the mistakes in my posting, I gave up beyond 149更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
