The wife of my best friend (in China) wants to do the business in Canada, since such business is not allowed in China.

She let me put a computer as a server in my room (Canada), and then she transfers files to the computer from China.

Another problem is that how much time I will spend on the server maintenance, such as software installation, cable application, website application, server system overload, computer virus and hacker attack.

I am a Master program student currently, and I am really busy in my course and experiment. So, I could not spend too much time on the server maintenance.

In fact, I am tire of the disgusting service. However, I don’t want to hurt my friend (he is my high school classmate in China). After all, it is his wife’s idea.

Welcome your suggestion.

      • It depends on what type of the adult site you will be running and what is your expectation for the traffic. -rudy2000(动一动); 2003-12-1 {558} (#1492678@0)
        If the content of the site is mostly movies, or you are expecting high volume of traffic to your site, I don't think any normal family cable service can satifisfy your needs like rogers. And if you apply for the commerical internet connection service then it will cost much. I don't think you need it unless you can guarantee enough profit from you adult site. So my suggestion to you is to find a shared hosting service and transder your file to their webspace. Most of you maintenance work will be just uploading files and updating the member area pages.
