It's absolutely not right for Taiwan to be "confident" against USA. The two countries are military allies, strategic partners, and good friends.

It is so sad to hear that. Hopefully you are not representing Taiwanese. You can be not confident when face off Americans, but you should always defend your dignity as a human being. Otherwise you deserve no reputation from others.

"Facing off" is something between rivals. As I pointed out above, Taiwan and USA are allies, partners and friends. They share the same values.
