I came to Canada and the U.S. and found so many electrical appliances abandoned in the garbage. I didn’t know why. Later I was told it was too expensive to get them fixed, sometimes more costly than buying a new one.
Lots of people get stuck in their relationships and don’t know where to go. I used to advise people to work it out. Yes, if you had loved and chosen each other, there shouldn’t be hurdles that cannot be overcome. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way most of the time. It is awfully hard to change our reality, not to mention we add more to the same reality each day. Our thinking pattern stays the same; our worldview remains unchanged. How could our attitude be miraculously lifted to a new level after all the arguing and fighting? It is like being stuck in a trap of our own making. The whole history of relationship is both a weight that we bear and an obstacle that’s difficult to overcome.
OK, is it beyond repair or just too costly to fix?
Seemingly we have more than one option. When we try to hold on to something at all cost, we might want to look deeper. Is it insecurity, face, fear, a sense of failure, uncertainty about the future, lack of confidence that keep us from taking the next step?
We are always braver than we think.
So?
So if you get stuck, it might not be a bad idea to label it as “beyond repair” and just let it go.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
