The Medical Journal Lancet published an analysis on the reported mortality in Gaza as reported by the Gaza Ministry of Health(MOH). The authors did not find evidence of inflating death numbers.

In previous conflicts, the discrepancies between the MOH and independnt UN numbers is ~1.5-3.8%. Comparing with the death numbers reported by the Israeli authority the difference is about 8%. This time is no different.
