For Brand New cars, it's bumper to bumper, meaning that absolutely everything is covered, the factory warranty goes with the car, not the purchase. My first car was a Subaru Legacy, one year old, 22000km, the warranty was 100KKm or three years whichever is first, so I bought the demo car and 6 months later the car almost got broken into and the doorlocks went out of functioning, cost 760 with labour, was coverred by the remaining factory warranty although I wasn't the original purchaser.
Our fellow chinaman got ripped off by DOWNTOWN TOYOTA, it's a typical chinaman-rips-off-chinaman place, it's got a bad reputation for years.
