Today the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) announced that, after consulting with counsel and in response to overwhelming public demand, it would file legal proceedings against the McGuinty Liberal government next week
The CTF says its action is intended to protect Ontario taxpayers by forcing the McGuinty Liberals to respect the rule of law and comply with the Taxpayers Protection Act.
The CTF is also planning a “No More Lies” rally against the Liberal government at Queen’s Park during the week of June 7th. Stay tuned for more details.
The CTF’s action is indicative of the level of public disenchantment with the Liberals and of taxpayer rejection of the so-called “Plan for Change” which is nothing more than a “Plan for Pain” for taxpayers.
Clearly Ontarians are not going to allow the McGuinty Liberals to break their promises with impunity.
