Right now, three years passed, and I got the following tips:
(1)At the beginning, a good teacher is very important. The teacher should have both patience and technical skill.
(2)First year is tough for both parents and your kid. You have to help and accompany her when she is studying & practicing, but never say rude words and push her too much. In addition, She needs to receive encouragement from her teacher and parents. Practice time would be limited within half hour a day for her first year.
(3)After first year, everything will be smooth...If your D is willing to study, nothing won't be worried, otherwise you need to think if D really wants to study it. For My D, she is interested in piano, so I seldom push her after her first year.
(4)Let your D attend some recitals, competitions or talent shows, maybe benefit her or enhance her interest, but what I recommended is totally up to your teacher and daughter because each child is different.
I hope it useful for you. Good luck!
