D70. Help wanted. How to get a good D70 deal? (replay in Chinese is appreciated)

DX/friends, I am sort of beginner. I want to get a D70 body. I'm confused by the various on-line price quotes. Price could vary from US$750-1200. Check out this:http://dpreview-cnet.com.com/4014-6501_9-30802703.html?subj=Nikon+D70+%28body+only%29&part=dpreview-cnet&tag=4014

Qestions:
1. How come prices could vary so much from shop to shop? Any suggestions which one to go with?
2. Realized that buying from US and bringing (smuggling literally :-<) it back to Canada would have duty risks and warrenty problems. But lower price got the final call. Does any one have experience with on-line shopping D70 from US? How was it (service, risk etc.)

      1.ebay:
      - select honorable dealers;
      - get current price range;
      - ask dealer questions about shipping and tax...
      2.google:
      - find as much info as possible about the camera.
      - read reviews from the major forums.
      3.special suggestion:
      - B&H;
      - J&R;
      4. Warranty issue: it is an issue.
