UNfortunately, some Canadian Chinese have a lot of excuse not going to vote. Do you know each time they have statisticall data to analyze? If you want politician listen to you, go to vote every time - municipal, province, federal. That's the only way you can have pressure on the politicians. Don't believe 1,000 people gather on Queen's park can change anything unless you have a large amount population who has voting right to back you. We used to crying out to our gov't officers and try to gain some mercy - that's not the right way to do it. The vote right is the ultimate power for a single citizen. Following what you described, as equalization rule in international relationship. All the other countries you want go with your Canadian passport without a visa now say for those Canadian who was originally born in mainland China will need a visa to enter their country. I agree 任何签证，都是按照一定条件只发给某一部分人的. But some common ground we have to draw here is to see if they are acceptable in today's environment. Treating somebody based on his/her Race, Gender, Sex-Oriented, place of born is 歧视问题 today.
