Very green, very rich in iron, and quite sweet!
Ingredients
- 1 kg (2lb) fresh green peas, unshelled or 500 ml (2 cups) shelled
- water
Preparation
· shell and wash just before cooking.
· Stream peas over boiling water 12-15 minutes or until tender.
· Or, in the microwave, put peas into a covered glass dish with 60 ml (1/4 cup) of water. Cook at high power 8-11 minutes. Stir with fork after half the cooking time.
· Allow to stand 3 minutes.
· Pour into the blender with 60 ml (1/4 cup) of water. Puree
· Pour into ice-cube trays and freeze.
Yield: 1 ice-cube tray full
Storage life: 6 months
