In fact, I have no car at this moment. However my husband will come to calgary at April 15, and he will start his work in Mississauga at May 1. He has no credit card, so he can't rent a car . Fethermore , he cannot buy a new car in mississauga without home address. I think it is hard for him to find a appartment in mississaga where the public transpotation aren't convinent. So, I think I can buy a new car in Calgary now and drive with him to Toronto. The qustion is whether I should pay the Province Tax (8%) when I transfer the Alberta's Plate to Ontorio's Plate. Actually, I check the website about that, but i am confused. Do you have experience about that. Thanks a lot! Have a good night!

      if you have a car, you can send something like furniture by good truck company like North American Van Lines, it's a very good company, biggest in NA, they have lost agency, you can check it on phone book. Ask them whether they can store your stuff in Calgary, then send it once you call back from Toronto after you found a house something. Then you can put your TV, PC something into your trunk, drive your car to Toronto. Normally you can drive 800-1000KM/day, take more oil with you. Better don't drive in evening.

        • The suggestion is how about you come to Toronto first, or you can come to Toronto on Apr, 15, and your LG can fly to Toronto directly, so you don't -crossover_tape(萧峰-侠之大者); 2002-3-4 {687} (#389794@0)
          need waste money. The agency of the truck company can store your stuff for while, you can call them after you find house here. I don't thingk you need buy a new car there, you can rent a apartment close to your LG's office, you can buy a new car or used car(I prefer)after 6 monthes or less, depending on his performance and company. You can stay in Chinese family hotel for 2 weeks. It's easy to find room for rent. You'd better don't drive to Toronto if you don't have long term driving experience in CA, there are lots remember signs along the road which means somebody died there. Make a good schedule, you can call somebody to pickup you and your LG at airport, pretty cheap.
