In the event of a strike, more than 10,000 OPSEU members deemed essential workers will remain on the job, but several services will still be affected:
No new or replacement Health Cards will be available;
no road tests will be done and driver's licenses will not be issued;
no birth, death, marriage or change of name certificates will be issued;
there will be no registration or incorporation of businesses;
no lien searches will be performed;
residences at provincially-run schools for deaf and blind people will be closed.
And unfortunately for parents looking for something to do with their children during March break, the Ontario Science Centre and Ontario Place will be closed if there's a strike.
