    • Try U-Haul. It is the biggest truck-rental company in North America. It provides one-way rental.
      I just drove a U-Haul truck for over 2000 Km. The journey from T to V is even longer. You will be ver tired. By the way, the gas consumption is rather high, too.

        how much money did you spend totally and how many days did you drive? thanks
        • You can check the quote from their website. Because U-Haul is the only truck-rental company which provides one-way rental from the US to Canada,
          the rental price is really high. In my case, they give me an offer of $785+70 insurance. totally around 940 USD (+tax), 6 days, 1600 miles. I drove total 1350 miles, which cost $170 USD in gas. The 14-foot truck's mileage is about 10 miles/gallon! I drove for 2.5 days. So I spent $100 in lodging for 2 nights. By the way, driving a truck for moving is not fan. I felt very exhausted.

          So, think over before making decision.

      • 俺两个星期前刚从TORONTO开车到REGINA,觉得从thunder bay到winnipeg最不好开,山路多,转弯多,一定要白天开。从winnipeg到REGINAD倒还行。
    • 1 UHaul 估计得$1500, 比搬家公司便宜,你若有VAN或SUV可考虑租个TRAILER,<500元; 3 BC境内rocky mountains较难走,且常下雪, 这两天还听报道说TransCanada关过,建议等天再暖一些时再走.
    • 我3月底, 4月初开车去Regina, 可以和你一起走, 大概有3/5的路我门可以同行, 而且我是从那边开过来的, 那里需要加油, 那里要住宿我都清楚

          • 美国路好,比较好开, 至于安全就不见得了,治安不如加拿大。 从温哥华到魁北克我开过,没什么特别危险的路段,只要避免在两个山区开夜车就行了。
            • 啊!牛!什么时候介绍介绍经验?
        • 一般来说,跑长途, 当油箱的油剩一半时,就要准备加油了, 看到加油站就进去加油。
          • 你有点儿过于谨慎了。一半不至于吧,北美的高速公路服务很好的,不至于离那么远。我见过的相距最远的Service站大约是76公里。
            • 绝对同意爱游泳的虎的观点, 油箱过半一定要加油, 特别是在安省北部, 常常100多公里看不到一个加油站, 当你的油表掉到1/3, 而你又是在荒无人烟的山区, 那种心慌的感觉不好受

            • 从多伦多到温哥华,走美国线比较复杂,很多路段要收费的,加拿大线只有在BC省境内一段5号公路收费10元, 如果继续走1号公路还是免费的,不过比较危险(一路上最危险的路段了),而且要多花2、3小时。
              401->402->过海关->I-69->I-94(west)->I-90(west)->I-94(west)->I-90(west)->I-5(north)->过海关->HWY-99->vancouver。其中上了I-90号公路后也可以不转I-94号公路,继续沿I-90公路开。南线收费路段较多。
            • 美国的90, 96号有十来个收费点,但每次只收0.25 :(()). 最后一个好象是在美加边境上, 我开始还以为是美方的边检哪.

                • I went from Yellow Stone to Toronto last April, on HWY90 & 69 ( the route leading to Huron Port). At that time each toll point charged $0.25(US). You can count the number of tolls from tiger's post.

    • 1. 异地还车要另加异地还车费约600元。
      3. 从THUNDER BAY到安省与manitoba交界处的一段路是山路,比较难开,不过最险要的是翻越ROCKIES, BC省从KAMLOOPS到HOPE这段的1号公路最危险,应该绕过它走5号公路,可以节省2、3个小时,收费10元,我晚上走过5号公路可以开到130-140公里/小时,白天走这段1号公路才开到80-90公里/小时。
