你好！On behalf of the government of Canada , I want to offer my warmest new year greetings to all Canadian Chinese decent. The year of rat will be marked by the celebrations across the country. In fact the Chinese community has become such a big part of Canadian cultural landscape. And the new year was celebrated with major public festivities in cities right across the country. Chinese Canadians played an important role for building our countries right from the beginning, from the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway to the development of vibrant Chinese Canadian business communities in all of our major cities. Canada has been immeasurably enriched by the contributions of Canadians of Chinese decent. Please accept my best wishes for good health and good fortune. May the new year be peaceful and prosperous for you and your family. 恭喜发财！
