本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I am a beginner and try to learn photogray. Here is some photography information I collected to share with those people in the same level like me.
1. where to start: 1). www.kenrockwell.com
start from reading through Ken Rockwell's excellent articles about cameras and photography , such as " Camera does not matter", " books to read", and "camera recommendations" and "where to buy cameras"
2). camera reviews:dpreview.com or google "<camera or lens model> review"
3) camera or lens sample photos: google "pbase <camera model or lens model" for example , "pbase canon 10-22" will bring you to the photos taken by canon 10-22mm ef-s lens. and then click refresh to random again
2. learning from photos: www.photo.net
most members are serious photographers
3. where to share:
1) photo.net ( join when your are or you believe you are in professional level )
2) pbase.com (join when you think you are a photographer)
3) smugmug.com (for everyone.i guess it really will become a big thing like flickr)
4) flickr or picasaweb for everyone
5) photoshopexpress.com ( i am not impressed with this web 2.0 photoshop elements online version, picasa do much better offline)
6) kodakgallery.ca ( bonus: you dont need to upload photos again if you want to print them, it is a futureshop photo service replacment, and you get 100 4x6 prints for free by accepting to transfer your futureshop account to kodak)
4. where you want to be: ( too many directions)
1) popular landscape photographer Marc Adamus
http://photo.net/photodb/member-photos?user_id=1353935
2) or absolute purity from a frenchman:
http://photo.net/photodb/member-photos?user_id=785763
3)or to express your thoughtful thinking about our planet or life or death like this guy in Toronto
http://www.pbase.com/homerhomer/photography
... ...
5.wher to buy in Canada, local shops in Canada to feel the cameras
1) vistek ( just opened a new one a couple months ago in Mississauga)
2) henry's
3) bestbuy(futureshop) or costco ( probably they only carry Canon xti or xt)
6 buy in USA
it is cheaper in USA just like cars.( just comare with amazon.com prices)
But dont buy it online, it is risky. I paid $168 duty for a 3.1MP Epson point and shoot camera in year 2000 unless policy changed since then.
7. practice, practice, practice ( i am starting from composition)更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
