Asking for your advise on the proposed voting system

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Dear friend, according to your suggestions ( from David_diao, ...), I'm preparing the development of a voting system. Here I post some ideas and I'm looking forward to your advise.

In the current phase, the voting system opens to members only. That
means guests are not able to vote. Every member has the privillege to
launch a vote, we call this member as the launcher. The launcher will
create a new vote, set the subject, startdate and enddate, the type of
voting, e.g.:
single/multiple
secret(anonymous)/public

The launcher may enable other members to suggest the vote options and
edit and decide which options are invoked.

When a vote begins, every member is able to ballot. If one member
re-ballots, he/she can re-write his previous choice.

The vote result can be viewed by everybody. For public voting, every
voter's choice is openned to the public.

How do you guys think about this proposal? Please kindly give me more
suggestions, also let's discuss what name this system can take. Thanks

评论按时间顺排，不分正方，反方，或其他。

对关键字、词，有检索并"屏壁？"功能，以免有人漫骂粗话。

打开时象热点话题，多开一个窗口。

（先是有人提出一话题，并提出一个方案。
例如，rolia 聚会叫什么名字好？A. xx;
跟贴的人可以投票，也可以添加选项。B xx;
每人只能单选一个选项，或者添加一个选项。
选项总数限制在 10 个以内，选项满了，不可以再加。
好的建议只能写在评论里，由 BZ 添加。
选项除 BZ 外，不可修改。
网页右上方最后显示出来是一个饼状图。）

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛...So I say I'm not very impressed by the idea of "members" and "guest". You tell people this is a public forum yet you restrict the voting access to a considerably large group of participant, just because they chose to keep their personal only for them self. A typically web site that require membership access is because they want sell their member's information for a profit, or to feed the propaganda material in their members mailbox, either way they are just a step in their money making process. I fail to see Rolia fall into this category so if some one feel comfortable to let everybody know his email address just be it, but that doesn't necessarily mean everyone else has to follow, and that's not necessarily mean those who do not follow should be considered as outsider.

The process of voting, is to collect the opinions for a particular issue, should be conducted in a way of mass survey, to have an actual picture it is important to get most people involved. As we've all seen, this forum is becoming some kind of narcissistic place where some people come to get their Ego massaged. I've noticed that when ever the issue raised the poor guy immediately get bombard by other one's inner circle friends for their sense of tribal man's morality, and some time admin also took their side and busy doing selective deleting. Yes, I said "Selective Deleting" because yours truly once to be admin's victim. Obviously they've already developed kind of bond or something so any wish of balancing from admin has became a luxury for the rest. By putting a checkpoint in front of voting booth I can imagine how the result be hijacked by group of people, and, it gives visitors false impression that it is the trend of opinion.

如果收集意见，最好能代表大家，也就是说每人（不论新人、旧人）都有权投一票。。。

Sailor 说了，会员如果重复投票，则后一票会覆盖前一票。只有一票的权利。
当然也可不停注册，email，用不同的会员名，
但 sign off 再 sign on，毕竟麻烦了一些。
反之如果对访客而言，则不好控制了，
每一次发言可以任用一个名字，则给访客投票权的话，如何控制其也只能投一票，而不是许多票呢。

其实我也认为访客应该有权投票，投票基于公平、公正、平等。只是这个技术上怎么处理呢？？？不可能寻 IP 吧？（把一件简单的事情折腾得这么复杂吧。）
或者可以这样，我觉得，访客的投票必须有评论附下。所有的评论按时间顺排，而不是就某人或某贴回复（或攻击），好象 Rolia 只有敌我两方似的。

人身攻击真太伤感情了。

Because Rlia has already left the door open, if a guest still thinks it is un-safe to register as a memeber then he may lose some privilege.

A web site is like a club, any club has the distinction between a guest and its member even the membership is for free.

Rolia's voting system, in my mind,

IS USED TO HELP FRIENDS (I avoid to use member or guest) HERE TO:
- Decide which activity should we take
- In Staturday or Sunday, or Good Friday
- Which restraunt will we go
- And, I believe you have understand what I mean

and, in most cases,

IS NOT USED TO:
- Get public opinion on any hot topics,

So, in my opinion, we do need a vote system, and,
- It's for members only, since this is the easiest way for all of us to know who will attend in the voting activity
- It should be as easy / simple as possible (for both the designing and using)
- It should have a control point to avoid junk votes
- If Sailor is willing to do extra work, could also add a public voting system, for questions like these posts of "举手", "跺脚".
