My heating or cooling does not work. What can I do?
Check for blown fuse, tripped circuit breaker, furnace power switched off, furnace blower compartment door or panel loose or not properly installed. If the above checks have been made and your Heating or Cooling system is still not functioning properly you may want to contact a local HVAC service person.
My thermostat is reading in Celsius. How do I change it to Fahrenheit?
Your thermostat display can be set to display temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius. This option can be
set in the Configuration Menu of your thermostat.
My thermostat does not display the temperature my thermometer reads. Is there an adjustment to change the display?
The temperature display on a digital thermostat will normally read very accurately. However, you have the option to change the display temperature to match your previous thermometer. This option can be set in the Configuration Menu of your thermostat.
The display shows the word or flashes BATTERY. What does it mean?
If the display shows BATT when AC power is not present, the batteries are low and should be replaced with fresh "AAA" Energizer Alkaline batteries.
How do I bypass (not use) the program?
The thermostat can hold any temperature within its range for an indefinite period, without reverting to the programmed temperature. Press HOLD button. HOLD will be displayed. Then choose the desired temperature by pressing UP or DOWN. The thermostat will hold the room temperature at the selected setting until you press the RUN button to start program operation again.
My furnace (air conditioning) cycles too fast (slow). Is there an adjustment?
The factory default setting is fast, which cycles 1st stage at approximately 1.2° F and 2nd stage 0.75°F. If you prefer longer cycles clip jumper W905. This adjusts 1st and 2nd stage to 1.5° F and 1.2° F respectively.
Why does the blower fan keep running after the system has shut off?
Possible short in wiring, thermostat, or heating and cooling system, or FAN switch set to on. If you have checked the items listed above and the condition persists you may want to contact a HVAC service person for assistance.
Do I have to program a stop time for each program period?
There is no need to select a time to stop a programming period. Starting a new programming period will stop the previous program period.
Why won't the thermostat bring on second (and/or third) stage of heat or cool?
Your thermostat is designed to determine the optimum time to activate the second stage. Simply raising the temperature in heating or lowering it in cooling will not always force the thermostat to bring the second stage on quickly. There is a time delay from 0-30 minutes depending on the performance of the first stage of the system.
What do AUX, EMER, and MALF indicators mean on my HEAT PUMP THERMOSTAT?
Auxiliary Heat is energized when the flame icon is displayed flashing, EMER will be displayed flashing when switched to emergency heat. MALF is displayed when there is a malfunction in the heating or cooling system.
My display light does not work. Can it be fixed or replaced?
Because it is soldiered to the circuit board it is not possible to repair or replace a backlight. The display light on single stage models operates on battery power, and on multi-stage or heat pump models on 24-volt power. If your display light is not functioning you may want to replace the batteries with fresh AAA Energizer Alkaline batteries, or if hardwired verify that 24-volt power is present at the thermostat from the system transformer.
My thermostat does not follow its program. What should I do?
The most common reason a thermostat will appear not to be following the program is a programming error. Verify that the A.M. or P.M. settings are set correctly for each period. Also verify that the day of the week is set correctly.
Between Heating and Cooling seasons, I want to turn my system off. Will this change the program?
Any time you wish to turn your system off, simply move the SYSTEM switch to OFF. This will not affect your thermostat's programming in any way. To turn the system back on, move the SYSTEM switch to HEAT or COOL and press RUN. The system will begin operating according to the current thermostat program.
Do I have to reprogram my thermostat after I change the batteries?
No. These thermostats have permanent memory, although you will have to reset your clock.
What if my thermostat has a blank display or the keypad is not responding?
1E78-151, 1F72-151, 1F78-151, 1F78H-151, 1F78-167 - If a voltage spike or a static discharge blanks out the display or causes erratic thermostat operation you can reset the thermostat by pressing UP, DOWN, and TIME at the same time. This also resets the factory defaults. If the thermostat has power, has been reset and still does not function correctly contact your heating/cooling service person or place of purchase.

This also resets the factory defaults. If the thermostat has power, has been reset and still does not function correctly contact your heating/cooling service person or place of purchase.
My set point temperature is flashing what does this mean?
This feature indicates that there is a conflict between HEAT and COOL (Heating temperature higher than the Cooling or Cooling temperature lower than the Heating temperature). The thermostat will indicate this by a flashing setpoint temperature. The thermostat will not allow a temperature in Heating set higher than the lowest Cooling temperature for auto changeover.
Why does my system run with setpoint and room temperature the same?
In cooling, as the room temperature falls you will eventually reach the setpoint temperature. The system will continue to run until it reaches the low side of the temperature setting. As an example: If set to 78 degrees with the room temperature falling the thermostat will continue to call for cool as the temperature decreases in the following manner. 78.9, 78.8, 78.7, 78.6, 78.5, 78.4, 78.3, 78.2. At approximately 78.2 the thermostat will quit calling for cool. This is why it is not unusual for the room temperature and set temperature to read the same but the system continues to run. The amount of time it takes for the system to shut off is dependent on system sizing, thermostat location, etc. Note: The thermostat display only displays whole numbers. Internally the thermostat calculates decimals. In heating as the room temperature increases the system will continue to run until the thermostat reaches the high side of the temperature setpoint.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
