Responsibilities:

· Write/amend computer programs on the AS400, Xerox VIPP and in end-user custom applications to maintain the membership and District Manager compensation systems
· Utilize existing programs and methodologies to manipulate, transform and exchange membership and compensation date among databases and platforms
· Provide technical and operational support in the daily execution of the membership systems programs
· Provide ad-hoc reports and statistical analysis of databases, monitoring integrity of databases
· Identify, analyse, research and resolve problems and issues pertaining to data or operation of the membership and District Manager compensation systems
· Participate in membership system enhancement projects through all phases of systems lifecycle
· Suggest, design and develop program improvements and enhancements
· Design, develop and maintain other CFIB-custom applications, as assigned
· Provide technical support to users of Xerox VIPP and Domino Designer software
· Participate in the design and development of web-enabled databases and information distribution

Qualifications and Skills:

· Degree or Diploma in Computer Programming or equivalent experience
· Experience developing or writing programs in the following languages: CL, RPG IV, CGI scripting, Net.Data, Transact SQL (Query) on the AS400
· Experience assisting others with programming or providing similar technical support assistance
· Exposure to a postscript programming language, Domino Designer, and Lotus Notes
· Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and networking to exchange and integrate databases would be a definite asset
· Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work to meet project deadlines
· A strong team player
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
