The chairs were made in 2004. One day I browsed a landscape book in a book store.
Suddenly I was shocked by a picture in the book. In the picture, I was extremely impressed by a pair of deep red chairs. I was deeply touched by its elegant structure, very stable, however full of sense of dynamic. I told myself I want to build them.
Then I started doing research on the design and building procedure through internet and borrowing books from community library. It took about several weekend to finished the work. It was built with 2x6 cedar wood, painted in colonial red color paint (from home depot). The total cost was about $150, yes, much more costly than buying from store.
However, I fully enjoyed the whole process very much. Now, I put them in a corner of my backyard. It becomes one of best views in the garden.
Here is the article I followed to make the chairs.
