相约北美 / 移民留学 / 电气工程类(ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING)的就业前景如何?怎么从来都没人提到过。不可能没有先来者吧,难道都改行COMPUTER了?

My english is very poor, especially oral and written english,I think it's the biggest problem for me to get a job.In canada, they most use Allen-Bradley or Modicon PLC, but in China we usually use mitsubishi, omron or siemens PLC, so maybe some electeical engineer need to study Allen-Bradley PLC here.

我们工厂的电工原来都是这个专业的。他们来自东欧或亚洲,英语不太好,却也过得去。但找不到本专业工作,只能做电工。时薪约18元。

to be an electrical engineer (not include electronic)I think it is better than other major except computer.that is you can have more choises the first you can find the same job in china, the second is you can get a electrican license and get about $18/h job just said by rollor, the third is why not study computer that isn't hard for some electrical engineer. of course It is hard to find an electrical engineer jod and hard to get the professional engineer. especial some of need excllent oral and write english. this is just my opiopn, welcome other people give more advices. thanks

I am an Electrical Engineerworking a compay in GTA. It take years to get your PEO Lic. One thing I should remind you, Engineer here is not making a lot of money like IT guys, but it is a professional job like layers and doctors. So if you like engineer and want to devote your time and energy into the job( no over time paid, a lot of travle and responsibility), be an engineer. Or, do some IT stuff.
