工作学习 / IT杂谈 / ask a question, do the switch ports of most current home adsl/cable routers auto detect the straightthrough or crossover cable to make a link and the way of choosing correct cables becomes the past?

do u mean "if the router can detect/auto-fit the strait-rhough/ cross-over cable?" Normal, if it doesn't say it in its manual, the answer is NO.My switch can do that. but I think it is new feathure.
Basic way to know it is: if the light is on when cable was pluged in both side, the cable fit for both side.
