I don't think you understand the pride each participant of this opening ceremony has. This is not about claiming personal fame, this is about collectively showcasing the best of what we have to offer the world. Even the artists who lost their bids to Zhang Yimou as director of the show later selflessly worked with Zhang as assistants. I don't think they will get too much credit for it, they did it because they want to be part of something great. If you don't understand that, you will never understand why China came such a long way in such a short time.

All the athletes trained so hard for this day, I think it is extremely unfair to question their achievements based on some hearsay. There might be one dated news piece saying something, but there are other evidences from different independent sources saying otherwise. So I will leave this to IOC, which did follow the due process of investigation. Our gymasts won the team event fair and sqaure, just like the US girls won the individual all around fair and square. They are all worth to be the role model of my daughter.
