You failed in Canada doesn't mean everybody fails here. If you are trying to tell us everyone in China is millionaire or billionaire, you pick a wrong time as the images on TV tell us a different story

What about those quake victims, they are dirt poor even before the quake. Aren't they not Chinese? Even for richer folks, they can still not avoid take in polluted air, eat unhealthy food, use unsafe products. And their kids might still study in a 'TOFU' classroom. Money can't buy everything. I agree the Chinese gov shows some improvements and are more open in handling this disaster. But they need to continue political reform to build a better country. A democratic and open society has the capability to correct and prevent many problems before they cost people's lives, health and money.

中国的确现存很多问题,很多是历史遗留问题,不是一两天就能完全变掉的。中国的政府比你更清楚要民主透明,关键是中国正在向好的方向快速改变。by the way may i ask you a question, do you speak chinese anymore?

After many years of such propagandas, many Canadians believe China is now a very wealthy country, a new superpower that has enormous resources to handle such as disaster by itself. That's probably why the Canadian gov was slow to offer help and focused more on Burma instead.
