CNA actually analyze each question statistically to determine it's suitability to use in calculating the total score i.e. each question was analysised AFTER test to determine if it's would be used in score.

I suspect the fairness could be compromised because CNA could manipulate the test to bias the Canada educated testers. Even worse the CNA has the statistic info of the tester's educated country.

NCLEX is more fair since it's knowledge based and score was determined not based on statistic.

You can read the following doc for how CNA use the question in CRNE and statics number of 2008 CRNE.

Pay attention to 2) Marking exams and statistical analysis of exam questions

  • Some post mentioned the CRNE Albeta passing score is 141 this year, so passing percentage = 141/ (total questions - research questions)

    • 141 / ( 295 - 70 ) = 62.6
    • So far I've heard two IEN failed 3rd times. While one white girl got a note from doctor as 'disable' for anxiety then she got 5 hours + 5 hours for the CRNE!
    • The same white trash (sorry for my hash words) applied some downtown hospital, in the interview process, she was rejected first but accepted later after the interviewer confirmed her father worked in the hospital.
      • I've heard more than 20, yes, twenty people failed CRNE on June and at least two failed three times. CNO make life so hard for these people.
