Regarding working in States as RN, I would like to share some information. You need to prepare for NCLEX (CGFNS is not required in most of the states), goggle for NCLEX, lots of preparation resources out there. Personally I don't think this test is hard, if you are motivated, few month will do it. But the visa screen takes a while, so give yourself 1-2 yrs' time to finish the whole process. There are lots of career fairs for you to go to find a good employer. I did not work in States, but I have friends working in Texas and California. Maybe Texas is not a very good place to work as their pay is significantly less than Ontario and workload is doubled. California is not bad, but considering the higher cost of living, I don't know whether it is worth to move or not.
There are always two sides of everything decision you make, so do more research, think it over.
Good luck!
