风化跟降解是两个概念。塑料是人工合成的高分子聚合物，会在自然界长期存在，风化只是从肉眼角度来看成了SMALL PIECES，但它还是以高分子聚合物永久存在。降解是指高分子之间的连接键断裂，变成小分子，这些小分子在自然界中本来就存在。

风化就是降解。塑料袋由于日光的照射，使长分子链断裂，变得脆，感觉像被风吹碎一样。但是现在处理塑料垃圾主要靠填埋，进行的是微生物降解，但是它非常难被生物降解。
