my 2 cents...There are only two reputable vendor-neutral Security Certifications available on the market: CISSP and GIAC. CCIE is mainly focusing on Network Security, however, Information System Security focus is shifting from Networks to Applications.

我两年前在chinasmile上谈起CISSP，有人说这种证书听都没有听说过，肯定没有用，CISCO在今年三月和今年11月相继推出CCIE SECURITY和CCSP，大家可以想一下原因我两年前在chinasmile上谈起CISSP，有人说这种证书听都没有听说过，肯定没有用，CISCO在今年三月和今年11月相继推出CCIE SECURITY和CCSP，大家可以想一下原因，而且全球现在CCIE SECURITY不超过300人，而CISSP超过15000人，至于CIXA，有22000人之多，大家可以自己分析一下

It's depends on your working environmentIf you only want to be a network security professional and your company is only using CISCO equipment, that's fine. Otherwise, I don't think it's a good idea to get vendor specific certifications.
