她的同学有些找到了junior programmer的工作。现在junior programmer起薪一般是14到18块/小时，或者$1800-2200/month。

This is why IT become so cheap! You don't have to study in the university, everybody can be a programmer in one or two years! IT is cheap because it is easy. But ....General IT like HTML, .NET, JAVA, it is cheap, because it is easy to learn. But for some of other areas like the ERP consulting, it is not cheap. An experienced consultant can get more than 100 per hour even in nowdays. If a SAP developer gets only 40 CAD per hours, he doesn't sell himself well.

knowing entry-level programming is not a good ITprofessional.It needs experience. That means that you can use your IT knowledge to sovle business problem, to improve efficiency, to cut cost, etc. This is the real thing we need to know. If you can reach such a high level, you won't get fired.
