To be applicable for EI, you should have at least 700 insured working hours within past 12 months. So newcomers are not applicable for it.

for the first time to apply E.I, you need 910 hours not 700 hours.

I think at least 900 hundred hours with the proof of ROF(Record Of Employee) from each employer

Please be careful apply for welfare: because we are all technical immigrants,so,if you apply for welfare,it will have neglect effect on you later ........I read an article somewhere....just as your reference

好高耶。 美国加州才$230/week. 律师还特别关照拿工作签证被裁的千万不要申请， 劳工部可能给你钱， 但移民局以后可以因此拒绝你的绿卡。
