枫下家园 / 家庭与子女 / 请教关于申请sickness EI的问题我的预产期是八月中旬,由于上班太累,想六月初向医生要求两周sickness EI,然后接着申请产假,我有几个问题想请教:
1. 拿医生的証明去申请sickness EI,需要公司同意吗或公司的证明
2.我知道申请产假需要公司的ROE LETTER,但由于我先拿的sickness EI,何时向公司要这封信呢,病假后不想再回公司.如果在离开公司时拿这封信,两周后再申请,会过期吗?
3.申请时必须本人亲自去吗?
写了这么多,希望表达清楚了我的意思.

1. Are you sure you can get sickness proof from your OB? if you can, the Co. can say nothing. 2. When you apply EI (even sickness EI) must with ROE. 3. more detail you can call the HRDC, they are very nice!

Does your company have Short Term Disability plan for employees? Usually, the company & it's Insurance company will pay you during the short term disability period which varies from 10 days up to maximum 26 weeks.As long as your physican can provide medical information to your insurance company indicating that you are unable to work due to an illness, your company/insurance company will pay you up to 100% of your salary during the period of disability, the benifit will vary depends on each company's policy.
