你很清楚自己的需要，不难选琴。我的建议是：
1二手琴。
2琴不需要太大，43‘左右即可。
3琴健感觉要好，因为用来学琴。
4音质一定要过得去，要不严重影响听音。低音不必要太刻求延音长，但要清希，音色不可太亮........
买二手琴跟买二手车一样，名堂太多，还是找老师帮你选琴吧。老师弹一个Arpeggio就知道琴健感觉了。
要找会看内部的老师。注意换过的（旧琴一定换过）Tuning Pin，Hammer，Pin block，Bridge是否可靠。
注意三个Pedal功能是否正常，特别是sustain pedal.

谢谢你的建议！虽然知道自己的需要，关键是不懂琴所以度不好把握。知道要音质好，但好到什么程度？女儿的老师也不是很有经验的，说不出Tuning Pin，Hammer，Pin block，Bridge是否可靠。琴行买是否可靠呢？

what kind of warranty do i need? A japanese piano with a german name, said to be made for german market, is less than 20 years old with 10 yrs warranty, looks in a good condition. Is $3000 a right price?

My humble opinions1. As far as I know there are no japanese piano with a German name. With sadness I'd say our Chinese pianos are marketed in Europe with Europen names.
2. Pianos are custom-made for a specific region. Pianos made for wet Vancouver are different from dry Toronto. But for used piano this is not a determinate factor.
3. A fair price for a used japanese piano is: 20yrs YAMAHA U3 $4000-$5500. Price is only for reference as I myself am not familiar with piano price.

Thank you very much, windows2010. I bought a japanese piano FRITZKUHLA. May be not so good, but i figure out that if don't know something there is no way to buy good without luck. i'd read a lot from internet.

I' m looking for a piano as well, having the same problems as you do.Here is a book that I recommend reading, "The Piano Book: Buying & Owning a New or Used Piano" by Larry Fine, you can buy it at Amazon.

不要买太差的琴, 会影响孩子的耳朵.可以找调音师帮助买琴. 有时他们也有钢琴卖.我们3年前买了二手wurlitzer钢琴(十年新),当时花2800,原价近5000,是Baldwin piano的一个系列. 声音比yamaha更美些, 但yamaha机械性能更稳定. 我们对琴也一窍不通, 只是到琴行, 所有的钢琴都从低音弹到高音, 有些差的琴弹到高音区就没有音色. 我们用到现在一直觉得自己的琴不错. 现在孩子的程度越来越高, 这琴一直足够使用. 我建议不要买太差的琴, 因为程度越高, 对琴的要求也越高. 因为学音乐很大部分要有很好的听力. 差的琴对孩子的听力是有损害的. 如果长期学琴来说, 琴本身的费用不算什么,因为如果不要了,琴还可以卖的.
