枫下家园 / 家庭与子女 / 几天前刚知道怀孕了。我有个问题，不知道JJMM们能否给一些建议。谢谢！这是我第一次怀孕，现在有些妊娠反应。有时觉得有点恶心，现在经常觉得头晕，想睡觉。我现在在拿EI，还有5个月的EI可拿。我原来是做IT的，编程序什么的。
我的问题是：我不知道哪个更重要，是休息好，准备生孩子，还是先找个工作。
如果不能马上找到专业工作，是否应该赶紧找个临时工作，干个600小时，以便有资格享受那50周的产假EI。我担心如果一直都不工作，等到孩子出生后的什么时候再重新开始工作，是不是太晚了，到时候自己心里状态不好，可能会影响正常的生活吧。
各位JJMM们能给我一些建议吗？多谢！

Have you talked to HR about your situation? You should be eligible for maternity and parental EI since you already have more than 900 hours for regular EI.

As I know, the Maternity leave EI is based on the latest salary that you got( maybe the latest 600Hours pay).So If you plan to find a labour job, you need to find 16 $/hours. and you can get 400$/week. But if you find a labour job, 7$/h. Not worthy. Take time to have a rest. The first three to 4 months is very important to you and your baby.
