冷不冷要看是什么样的basement，什么样的房东。我觉得，关键不是冷，而是潮。有小baby的话，还是租地上的房间比较好; 或者租一个2 or 3 bedroom apartment, and rent one room out.

我们家的不但不冷，比楼上还暖和。锅炉和热水炉散热比暖气还足。冬天肯定不潮，必须用加湿器。夏天由于里外温差的关系，感觉有点潮。但里面的东西并不潮。我的地下室只有100多平米，大一些的可能不一样。

Don't live in the basement especially you have a baby.It is very cold in the winter and very noisy because of the heater. You will get depressed after the long winter living in a basement. That's what you will regrete for all your life.

我觉得租个2房的APT，分租一间要比BASEMENT便宜吧。有BABY要多见阳光，有利于吸收钙。

17 C in summer is not heaven. my basement is heaven, 22 c in summer, 24 in winter. welcome to heaven :))
