枫下家园 / 家庭与子女 / 本人工作700小时，申请maternity and parental benifit，没有申请sickness benifit，却被告知要医生证明不能上班，怎么回事，真的这么难吗？本人从6月到11月初共工作了700小时，9月发现怀孕，因是累伯，就辞了工。ROE上也是写的quit。现在申请maternity and parental benifit，但HRDC的人来电问我为何不去上班了，我就说医生说太长时间站立不太好，我不去了。HRDC就让我去找医生开证明。偶只听说申请sickness才用证明的，姐妹们，如果偶没拿到这种证明，还能申请到maternity and parental benifit吗？

Maternity Leave can only start two months before your baby due date. So it's too early to apply for it now.If you apply now, I think HRDC would treat you as applying for Sickness Leave and ask you for a written proof from your doctor.
