cable and adsl speed and fee are very similar.
cable: you need a cable already connect to your room. if the cable belong to your landlord, you must ask him/her about it
adsl : just need a telephone line.

I heard :
cable : you need a router(or a computer as router ) , else add one IP need pay more $10 a month.
ADSL: just a HUB, but it's dynamic IP address.
