枫下拾英 / 摄影艺术 / I just bought a 350D and 17-40/f4, B+W UV and polarizer for 77mm, and wonder if I should get 70-200/F2.8 or 70-200/F4My concern is that: 70-200/F2.8 has the smae filter size as 17-40/F4, both are 77 mm. If I decide on 70-200/F2.8, I only need to add another UV and share the filters between 17-40/F4. If I buy 70-200/F4, I need to add another UV , polarizer, and probably a tripod collar. The price difference between 70-200/F4 and 70-200/F2.8 will end up to only $300.
If the tripod collar is a must need for 70-200/F4? Any suggestion will be appreciated?

差价只300？那就上f2.8的吧，不然用着f4的，心里总惦记f2.8的。我用一个77 down to 67的转接环，就可共用67的滤镜。17-40用一块67滤镜，在350d or 20d这样的数码上，绝无挡角。

街道公园带2.8还行，若户外背包走几天，2.8是个沉重的负担。以前出去带三镜，24 f/2.8, 28-85 f/3.5-4.5 和小钢炮，90%是在用28-85。这个焦段值得花钱，风景人像都有了。小钢炮做秀的成份多，咱业余水平看不出什么差别。

鉴于通用性，f2.8的可以考虑。不过因为350D的x1.6倍率，个人感觉70－200这个焦段用的会比17－40的少，因为乘1。6以后视野太小了，这样还.不如买个f4的。当初用10D的时候，除了舞台什么的，几乎都是17-40。最好弄个脚架环，350D本来就是塑料卡口的。还有就是稳定性，你会发现脚架环非常有用。
