详细数字你得上政府去查了。我感觉，Burnaby华人多，Surrey是印度人的天下，North Delta目前还是西人占领。Burnabty去Downtown最方便，以后Skytrain新线通了，更快；Surrey过Fraser河了，远了些，北部有Skytrain；North Delta只好公车了，太偏僻了，没车最好别考虑。

Thanks, pmer and kevin. Is it normal for a Chinese to live in Burnaby and
study or work in Vancouver?All apartments requires an one-year lease, you know. I used to spend
more than 3 hours everyday on the road in Toronto (funny?). I don't
want to repeat the same mistake.

算是正常吧。UBC(VAN最西端)和Burnaby之间很多Trans Link线路。以metrotown计，单程大约1个小时。可接受否？

你如果住在burnaby 的metrotown, 乘skytrain空中快车20多分钟到达vancouver downtown, 如果想我这样住在north burnaby, 乘bus 30分钟到达vancouver downtown.

BTW, 住在vancouver 南边也不错, flying2u, judy3721, yes 都住那一带, 因为温哥华IT公司集中在两个地带: downtown 和 south richmond. 而vancouver 南边在这两个地方的中间, 是apartment 云集的地方.

Thanks. But I did not find apartment information in that area. I checked
aptrentals.com and there is not many choices in their vacancy list.Or would you please to recommend any other site? BTW, I am too far from being an IT professional at this time and am planning to study first.

kevin2000说的那个地方不错。剩下的只好往burnaby去了，VAN的房子太贵，RICHMOND又不太方便。

感觉上VAN西南边还是比BURNABY房租要贵。购物方便还是METROTOWN那里，FB大部队目前也在那里，主要是交通方便。不过VAN西的综合环境比BURNABY要好。再说，没有必要为头一个住所的LOCATION那么计较，谁不为学习，工作搬几次家呢？你能肯定将来如果读书肯定在SFU，如果工作肯定找在附近？安全，舒适，负担得起就可以了，就这三条，也不那么容易呢。

对啊，去downtown最挠头的就是parking。不过Skytrain修到Lougheed了，离高贵玲已经不远。
