I have confirmed that the name of the file must be orapw$ORACLE_SID.And it is said that the password fileis typically created in the $ORACLE_HOME/dbs directory.

All above information is found in the Administrator's Reference. I am still wondering the password file can be created in somewhere, because it use "typically" word. Maybe this question looks stupid, but sometime, if you have experience create a Oracle database manually, you may confuse.

口令文件的具体位置根操作系统有关在unix系统中，在$ORACLE_HOME/dbs directory下。

Thank you so much, I have a test environemnt with Solaris 9 and Oracle 9.After I create a password file under other directory than $ORACLE_HOME/dbs, and tried to conntect like "connect sys/sys@cea9201 as sysdba", it seemed that the connection did not try to use the new password file, and if there was no password file under $ORACLE_HOME/dbs, it would report error. -dannyfu(Danny); 2005-10-29 {294} (#2580120@0)
