枫下拾英 / 乐韵书香 / I am looking for some good books to read. Please feel free to recommend: what is it about, why do you like it. English books only please. In exchange, here are some books I read this year.

C'mon, nobody reads? On a snowy day? in front of the fireplace?

推荐Maynard Solomon的《贝多芬传》,你感兴趣吗? 还有索仁尼琴的《古拉格群岛》(The Gulag Archipelago)

Thanks.Found "Beethoven" in the library catalogue. Will check it out. I happen to like classic music as well, so I can play some Beethoven CDs during the reading. There was a Beethoven movie years ago, which is not as famous as the one for Mozart, but still very good. "The Gulag Archipelago" is a huge book, I have seen the Chinese version more than a decade ago, did you finish reading it?

There's an authentic abridged version which was acknowledged by the author himself. You might want to check that one out. It's one volume paperback.
