You are also make mistake and haven't studied in any local university. March break is for Middle School student not for University Student. For University Student, it calls spring break.

wrong, I used to study in one of the universties in toronto, although officially called "spring break", people tend to call it "march break", including my professores:)

Asker's English is very formal, a good and presentable way for essaies and research papers. Unfortunately, many people, including some native speakers in North America,do not understand that one should not write the way one speaks. Vice versa, it would make people uncomfortable if one speaks the way one writes.
