two o o two is too complicate, natives prefer the simple sentence. such as 2132, they say: twenty one, thirty two

Are yo sure? IMHO, 2 0 0 2 is the simplest way and quite often being used.

yes, it is. for 2001 is two thousand one. I think most of you heard of this. What we learned in China or ESL is Technical English/formal english. but for oral english it's different.

I can't see why 'year of 2 o o(not 0) 2' is more complicated than 'year of 2 thou-sand 2', hehe.

我的意思是无论怎么说只要是语法不错，别人能懂就可以了，没有错与对。我刚刚打电话问我的同学，本地人一般就是这样说：two thousand two。就象：“我吃饭了”和“我吃过了”其实没有什么分别。只是个本地习惯而已。

发音上是不是应该是two thousand'n two呢？ 'and'被弱化为n。如果是two thousand two， 则thousand的d不发声。你能听到这个d吗？
