You're so naive in politics.Democracy only means you can express your angry, but no one will care about you any way. He's still mayor. Why? Thousands of community or agencies are gotten benefit from his policy. Doctor or nurse trade union all depand on his promise.
So open your eyes and accept this reality. You can be one of them or you can bear those snopes.

Don't be ignorant.It's all about politics. The federal government has surplus, but it doesn't want to share it with cities, because people will give credits to municipal goverment. Most cities are falling apart in Canada due to financial difficulty. That's why the fed gave cities the right to increase certain taxes. Cities have only two choices: increase taxes or cut expenses. Fairly speaking, you can't care about only your own pocket.
Next time when you vote, vote for Liberal or NDP, use your power wisely.
