My simple solutionUse the cell phone number of a friend in China and send short message through sina. Of course, it should be agreed by the friend.

even if he reply your ICQ , it is free. I have use ICQ for a half year. Free in both direction.

here i'm talking about send sms message to cellular phone in china, and when they reply to you, the local phone company in china will charge you. i know in canada it's free.

用oicq啊，发过去免费的，回过来是要0.1元，当然对方还要开通移动QQ;用icq也可以发，不用开通移动QQ,只是只能发英文，发中文是乱码，但前几天看到一消息说现在可以发中文的了，但试了好象不行
