TTC has 8900 workers. Also, I think TTC has to pay much higher insurance premium for their employees given the nature of their work.

i know a man retired from ttc. he started to be ttc driver in 21 years old and retired 51 years old. if you worked at ttc 30 years you can retire and get benefit. a 51 years old man is very strong and he can start another career with pension.
