枫下家园 / 减价特讯 / 还是发在这里吧,美国的亲戚买了ipad准备做圣诞礼物寄给我们,要交关税吗?有人说写上礼物不用交税,还有人说怎样都要交,不过UPS的包关费特别贵,canada post 的便宜很多。

看运气,查到就交,查不到就赚了。至少要交13% HST和手续费,不知道ipad有没有duty。

ask them to put it as a gift and value lower than$50.00 cad. It should be no duty .

Read the rules. Gift can be taxed if above certain amounts.
