I am using it too. I believe you can try it for a week or no more than 10 minutes air time(whichever comes first). If you don't like it, you can return it.

Just buy off your phone and you can ask to have it unlocked for free after 3 month of service. I have a Nokia 5230, $98. Like it very much. It's a entry level smart phone that comes with an integrated GPS.You don't need to have a data plan to make it work. With Ovi suite, it gives free maps for life for 100+ countries, including Canada, US, China....

You can call bell for retention plan. Tell them that you'll change to Wind, and if they want to keep you, they'll give you better plan. Bell's network is best in Canada.

我觉得他们给不出wind的plan的。以前R T B在wireless这块毛利都快50%了，所以不思进取。加拿大的cell phone penetration rate远远落后其他发达国家，就是因为贵。什么都不是unlimited，而且一旦超过限额，立刻死贵。是该教训它们。

Wind woks fine in Toronto. Other areasm you need to checn wind's web site to see the coverage.

如果处于wind coverage的边缘,最好在接/打电话前,看看是否是处于WIND HOME的,因为边界区域很容易就切到Rogers去,这里严重鄙视一下Rogers.如果切到WIND Away,重启一下手机

上次本人有幸手持Rogers手机漫游到美国，那个月话费账单高达５５０块其中在某个从来不知道的美国破地方接到一个电话，要了４．９５／ｍｉｎ的漫游费，还不算０．２５／ｍｉｎ的ａｉｒｔｉｍｅ．问了一下ｒｏｇｅｒｓ，ｃｌａｉｍ他们和那个地方的运营上没有协议，所以那么贵，云云。付了账单，立刻ｃａｎｃｅｌ了这个和rogers的最后联系，ｌｉｖｉｎｇ ｈａｐｐｉｌｙ ｅｖｅｒ ａｆｔｅｒ．

借贴问下，从多伦多打渥太华算不算是ROAMING长途？因为这两个地方都是在它的ZONE内，但不知道算一个ZONE还是算两个单独的ZONE.

depends on your plan. One of the plans has unlimited calling to "province wide"which means you can call from a wind zone to anywhere in the province in which the zone is. For ex, your wind phone is registered in toronto and you are in Vancouver. Then anybody call your phone, you are free of charge, you can also call any number within BC for free.
for Ottawa, it is a different zone. It does not mean you can call phones in another zone for free, it is just depending on your plan

Toronto to Ottawa or vice versa 是可以用免费时长的,其它的wind的计划都是免费的.因为都是本省省间呼叫.一个例外就是Ottawa和Gatineau之间也适用,虽然Ottawa属于Ontario,Gatineau属于Quebec.roaming只有一种就是在WIND Away是在Rogers, 统一25c/min打加拿大

It pretty much depends on the handset itself, which I am behind the fashion. You may want do some research (or check with the store rep) on the list of phones they are offering. The Nokia 5230 I have doesn't seem to support Chinese fonts.

查查机器的specification吧，如果支持1700/2100 AWS波段的就行，当然前提是要unlock。否则就只能到wind哪里去买新的

CDMA的手机不行，支持AWS的手机在加拿大不多，可以试试上美国搞一个T-Mobile的手机，WIND在美国的漫游合作伙伴就是T-Mobile。个人推荐便宜的使华为的，耐用使三星的，防弹用HTC的，LOL

我前两天才出了一台，和楼上一样的Nokia5230，但接受效果明显感到不如以前Fido的，我们家地下室的信号就不行，原来Fido一点问题都没有，所以还是要看地方。

有预付费的，也有后付费的，后付费的要做credit check。预付费的如果没钱3个月内也不会被销号，只要充值就可以继续使用。
