CTO, CFO, CEO, etc... Big company C?O will never wear jeans and running shoes at work, I can guarantee you that... It's not professional and it looks bad on the company image...

All the public released pics I have seen about those CEO are all in at least business casual. I've never seen they wear jeans pics, unless it's showing bill gate playing golf.

Not really. Almost all my friends, including me, who work in Toronto downtown office have to dress business casual, which means no jeans and no running shoes.

IT公司business Casual? :)

Yes. Well, probably more than 50 classmates in UW in coop, all of them need to dress business casual at work.

Well, except ADI and TI, all my classmates in other firms, like IBM, SUN Micro., all the banks, all the insurance brokerages, all the retail companies, all the medical companies, require business casualdress. I had one friend in RIM Seattle office, and he was required business dress as well....................

Why does a UW CS student has to work for IT company? Banks and other institution pay way higher than IT firms. And you gain much more experience by working with these institutions.

You have to know that IT company only hire a very fraction of IT people. Other institutions, such banks, insurance companies, financial brokerages, medical companies, hire a great deal of IT people.

Because as I said, IT companies only hire a portion of the CS graduates. There are more openings by other institutions.
