Taste differs. I really enjoy "ikea" style. Interior decor is very individual. Within budget, make it as much as that expected. just my opinion.

Interior decor is a taste. Your house is your castle. Do what you want to do and enjoy very part of it, of which is only the attention. If can live in the mansion like Queen Elizabeth, why not. Tastes diifer.

IKEA designers are true believers of Bauhaus. While they emphasize on clean, simple, elegant, effective, mass-producible... they can also be boring, tasteless and shallow sometimes - much like German in the eyes of English or French.

Gamla Stan is overrated. The guard in the Royal Palace (forgot the name) pointed the gun at me because I got too close to her. That was fun. Guess I was one of those bad tourist. Vasa Museet is not bad.
